I no longer lead a life of back-to-back appointments, and can allow myself plenty of time to get to my destination.<br /><br />But, rather than poking along with the flow of traffic on busy two-lane blacktop, I prefer to invest that extra time in <a href="http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-road-not-taken/" rel="nofollow"><i>the one less traveled by</i></a>.<br /><br />In his <i>Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance</i>, Pirsig suggests that you can '<i>spot the good </i>[roads]<i> on a map... The best ones always connect nowhere with nowhere.</i>' <br /><br />Well, that's not much help if you're heading to Tim's (although, eventually, there is bound to be a new Tim's, even at 'nowhere').<br /><br />But, generally, there is a township or county road parallel to the main route, avoided by most drivers. Although those roads generally lack the roadside amenities (like Tim's) the scenery is often more pleasant, even if the road surfaces themselves may not be.<br /><br />And, instead being forced to pass a series of reluctant cars, one has more often to deal with passing school buses and <b>UFO</b>s (<i>unidentified farming objects</i>).Madeyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02593933575568389288noreply@blogger.com
