This often works even when I'm on a long trip.

When I get caught by rain, it is usually because I'm riding with other people, and we have made plans for a day and time to go motorcycle riding.Lost Motorcyclisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08873504561959138792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156536327610779049.post-1718946029925490182010-04-14T07:48:31.341-04:002010-04-14T07:48:31.341-04:00Getting cold and wet ... not something I particula...Getting cold and wet ... not something I particularly enjoy, but an inevitable part of riding, I expect.

I've not had much luck with Gore-Tex: expensive, fussy to maintain, and bulky for packing as motorcycle rain gear. In recent years I haven't bothered with any rain gear at all, simply resigning myself to getting cold and wet if it rains.

However, with the old corpus gathering years, the cold and wet seems to bother me more than it once did, so perhaps it's time to consider some new rain gear.

A lot of motorcyclists seem apprehensive about riding in the rain. When my sweetie took her motorcycle course it rained all weekend, and really pelted down the afternoon of the testing. Unpleasant at the time, but as a result, she has no fears about riding in the rain.

Except, of course, for getting cold and wet ;-)Madeyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02593933575568389288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156536327610779049.post-77630208651224942622010-04-13T13:01:51.936-04:002010-04-13T13:01:51.936-04:00It doesn't take a lot of rain before you'r...It doesn't take a lot of rain before you're soaked while riding a motorcycle. I've never been caught out in a "real" rain.Rickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07965400321043093038noreply@blogger.com
