Atwood's output does vary in quality, but when it's good, it's very good - IMHO<br />2. When the dumps fill up again, is Wente willing to have the garbage dumped in <b>her</b> back yard?<br />3. Private health care results in the U.S. spends twice as much per capita ($8,000) as we spend in Canada ($4,500) - and for much worse outcomes <br />4. David Suzuki, of course, is one of those 'environmental extremists' as dangerous as terrorists (at least according to that paranoiac, Vic Toews). Go, David!<br />5. National Daycare? Many would consider Wente a traitor to her sex ... LOL!<br />6. Group of Seven (and Thomson) are no less relevant today than they were in the Twenties.<br />7. The U.S. as a force for 'good' ... well, for a start, let's contrast the U.S. 'defence' budget (±$one trillion/year) with their 'foreign aid' budget (less than $40 billion/year if military aid is discounted)<br /><br />As far as Wente being an 'influential columnist' ... there are many who would disagree ...
